Brand Design Feature: Copper Top Acres

FEATURED PROJECT

Custom Small Business Branding for a local wedding venue! in Phlox, Indiana…

Today, I’m sharing with you one of my favorite brand design projects of this year, Copper Top Acres! Copper Top Acres is a historic wedding and event venue in Phlox, Indiana. Covering 30 acres, Copper Top Acres is a place my client designed to help couples and families celebrate their most cherished memories with ease. It’s also a multi purpose space that’s set to host it’s first market featuring local small business owners and makers in May of 2024. Whether it be weddings, showers, birthdays, holiday markets, pumpkin picking, sweet corn picking, or just to stop in… it’s the place you want to keep coming back to!

Working with my client Abbey, and the owner behind Copper Top Acres was an absolute dream. We did a lot of planning together in the research phase of this process talking about her hopes and dreams for the brand and what she likes/doesn’t like as well her long term goals and planning for Copper Top Acres. They’re currently undertaking a huge renovation for their barn, and while it won’t be complete for a little while, Abbey and her family boldly chose to pursue investing in their branding and website design before they ever even opened their doors to the public, and I have to commend them for this choice.

If you invest in anything for your business, let it be branding + logo creation!

When people ask me about branding, I always say, if you invest in anything for your business, let it be this! Your branding is what everything else in your business flows from. Whether it’s your website, your social media or hand out marketing materials, all of these things take design work, and whether you hire a designer or you do it yourself, you’ll struggle to create a cohesive look without first nailing down your branding.

Why I don’t recommend DIYing your branding…

You’ll take up more of your precious time than it’s actually worth DIYing your branding. If you DIY your brand, you’ll most likely be left with something that you want to redo and change every six months to a year. What a waste of time!

Consider what could you do with those hours that would actually move the needle forward in your business instead of creating something on your own that you won’t like three months from now anyways?

It’s not that you shouldn’t believe in your creative skills, and I’ll always encourage being frugal in your business, but branding is simply just one of those things that shouldn’t be done half heartedly, because it sets the tone for you entire business and your audience’s entire customer experience with you. If there’s ever a time to spend some money on your small business, this is it.

BRANDING SETS THE TONE FOR YOUR AUDIENCE’S ENTIRE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE WITH YOU.

But don’t just take my word for it, hear from Abbey yourself!
